Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This is a draft policy. Final copy is being written — the sections and categories below reflect what the site actually collects today.

Who we are

theCofC (thecofc.org) is the Churches of Christ Media Network's hub site, including the ministry job board, podcasts, and related sections. This policy explains what information we collect through the site and how we use it.

Information we collect

We collect information directly from you when you use the job posting form (the "intake form"):

  • Names — the contact name you provide for a posting.
  • Email addresses — so we can reach you about your posting and so applicants can contact the congregation.
  • Photos — images of the church building and, if offered, the parsonage, which you choose to upload.
  • Posting details — congregation name, address, role, compensation, and description you submit.

We do not require account creation, and we do not collect passwords. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

  • To review and publish job postings on the jobs board.
  • To contact you about your submission if we have questions.
  • To display your posting's contact details (name, email, photos) publicly once approved, so applicants can reach your congregation.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Submitted posting details (including name, email, and photos) are displayed publicly on the job listing once approved, since that is the purpose of a job posting. We may use third-party services (such as form processing or map display) to operate the site; those providers process data only as needed to provide that service.

Retention

We keep posting information for as long as the listing is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. You can request removal at any time — see Contact below.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or remove a posting and its associated information at any time by emailing us. We will remove personal information we hold except where we need to keep limited records for legitimate administrative purposes.

Contact
